There are numerous variables that can influence a dog’s adult weight, including lifestyle factors, muscle mass, diet, and overall body composition. This why we use toe-to-withers height measurements as a more consistent indicator of size.

We genetically test all of our breeding dogs' coats. This helps to develop greater consistency in coat quality with each generation we produce. We will always inform a prospective buyer of the expected coat types in an upcoming litter (based on our genetic knowledge of the parent dogs). There is very little variation in the appearance of a straight and wavy fleece coated dog. Many breeders also sell curly coated pups, however, we have made the decision not to do this as coat maintenance can be much higher. It is important to remember that all coats have gentle waves in them, even if the dog is genetically straight-coated. All coats require regular brushing and grooming from a young age.

We breed a beautiful range of colours including red, caramel, cream, white, black, chocolate, and parti-coloured combinations.

Coat colours and markings can vary significantly between litters, making every puppy wonderfully unique. Using the genetic results from our tested parent dogs, we can predict the expected colours in a litter. Nature has the final say and sometimes the statistics defy us.

Whilst we all may have colour preferences, it is important to remember that the dog's temperament is the absolutely priority when we allocate you your puppy. While it can be easy to have your mind set on a certain colour, we ask that you remain open minded and trust our temperament assessing to ensure we place the most suitable tempered dog in your home.

When we select future breeding prospects, we collaborate with our colleague breeders around to world to ensure we select the most structurally sound dogs.

A dog's conformation is its physical structure, bone proportions, and musculature. It is critical to evaluate because it directly dictates the dog's overall health, quality of life, and ability to move comfortably. Form dictates function and a proper structural balance prevents chronic injuries, while exaggerated features often lead to painful health issues for the dog.

Assessing a dog's conformation before 8 weeks can be difficult. We make a preliminary assessment of our breeding prospects at around this time, and then again when they have reached maturation prior to breeding.
